Chief Security Officer

Zia, Chief Security Officer, brings her passion and instincts for defense to secure and protect the JMA Consulting, LLC. headquarters. Rescued ten years ago in the Ojito Wilderness of New Mexico, Zia, now makes Chicago her home. She is a licensed support dog and also a cancer survivor.

When Zia is not on security duty, she enjoys indulging her love of chew sticks and swimming and playing at John’s Michigan lake house

John S. Meyer

President & CEO

John S. Meyer founded JMA Consulting, LLC, in 2008 and now serves as President and CEO . He oversees IT operations and strategic planning initiatives including enterprise-wide virtualization, enforced multi-layered security practices, and consistent and reliable IT technology services utilizing cross-platform redundancies. John brings to JMA his 11-year experience as IT Director of Digital Printing Center, Inc. where he directed the activities of six regional branches.

In addition to numerous IT certifications, John S. Meyer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. When he is not overseeing activities at JMA, John delights in playing with his beautiful German Shepherd, ZIA, snow skiing, traveling, and fishing at his Michigan lake house.

Derek

Derek Lofgren

CTO

Derek Lofgren is the acting CTO of JMA Consulting, LLC, implementing technology initiatives to improve business functionality and continuity. Derek ensures his team effectively diagnoses, troubleshoots, and resolves clients’ software, hardware, and networking issues. Prior to joining JMA, Derek Lofgren spent 20 years in Sales and Business Management, focusing the last 11 years viewing technical issues from a business perspective.

Derek brings a passion for relationships with a love for all things technical to the JMA team.

David

David J. Olson

Help Desk Manager

David J. Olson serves as Help Desk Manager, joining JMA Consulting in 2017. In this role he provides remote technical support for Windows Server/Client-based environments, and manages Windows Servers and the associated networking components. David’s proficiencies include Powershell scripting, task automation and Microsoft 365/Azure AD administration, and he holds CCENT, CCNA and CompTIA A+ certifications. David is an accredited VMware Sales Professional (VSP) and VMware Technical Solutions Professional (VTSP).

David enjoys playing his guitar or keyboard and cycling year-round in the Chicagoland area.

Senior Support Technician

Isaia Flores has been working in IT for more than 12 years with an emphasis in operations. He also has system administration, project management and web design experience. When he isn’t at work, he enjoys playing chess, working out and spending time with his family.

Matt Ramos

Support Technician

Matt Ramos is the newest addition to the JMA team. He has 2 years of IT help desk and operations experience and specializes in documentation and standard operating procedures. He is consistently learning new topics in IT and is a welcome addition at JMA! Outside of work, Matt likes swimming, playing online games and spending time with family and friends.

Vanessa

Vanessa Roa

Marketing Coordinator

Vanessa Roa is the Marketing Coordinator at JMA, overseeing the company’s social media accounts, strategizing communications content, and coordinating team volunteer events. She has an Excel certification, multiple Hubspot marketing certifications, and is proficient with Salesforce, Hubspot, and Mailchimp applications.

Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing with a minor in Hispanic studies from Illinois Wesleyan University and is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta. She is passionate about social justice issues and enjoys listening to podcasts and attending social events and music festivals.
